Zero waste project

As a part of our zero waste project, I created a garment with sustainability in mind. I followed a simple pattern to create a kimono using the entirety of a two metre piece of silk. I really enjoyed this project as I found it a challenge to adhere to the strict measurements as I had no more fabric to use if I made a mistake. My favourite element of this kimono is the hand sewn collar. If i were to redo this project i would also hand sew the seams, however I found this material hard to work with.
